It looked so comfortable and the color is just perfectly neutral, I could wear it with practically everything! However, when I got it and tried it on, it was quite tight and does not fit comfortably. I usually get 7.5 for all my ballet flats, but with this, I know I should have gotten a size 8. Luckily, I still have my father's old shoe stretcher and I stretched it out for 3 days and now it fits comfortably! The lacing at the back is cute and makes them unique; the leather is decent, and there is some padding in the soles...although you probably wouldn't want to walk for miles in these shoes, especially on hard surfaces. They are fine, however, for the office.Make sure you order up a half a size; they are short. My feet are not great; too many years in high heels, too many broken toes and foot bones, etc. (This stuff catches up with you in middle age.) Very few shoes are comfortable to me right from the get-go, although if the leather is good, they will eventually mold to my feet. These got more comfortable the more I wore them. I agree with previous reviewers that they do require some breaking in; however, my second pair, the Peacock Embossed Lizard, fit like a glove right out of the box. If I buy a third pair, I plan to have to break in the elastic on the back. For my first pair, this required about a week of wear to be completely comfortable. They come packaged with tissue in the toes and shoe stretchers, so try stretching them in the box.Unlike other reviewers, I had tried these on at a boutique and knew my standard size 9 would fit perfectly. I did not buy a half size up. The padded insole and cushioned sole make them very comfortable for such a delicate shoe. The layout of the sole also give you more traction when walking.
