This review is from: Opcon-A Eye Drops for Eye Allergy Relief, 2-Count Packages of 0.5-Ounce Bottles (Health and Beauty) These are over-the-counter eyedrops that work very well for allergies, so you may be able to avoid a visit to your allergist. Some of us are bothered specifically by burning,itchy, watery eyes at certain times of the year, and would prefer to avoid an antihistamine that treats the entire body. These eyedrops contain an effective antihistamine, Pheniramine. (I'd prefer if they would leave the redness-reliever out of the drops because that effect is purely cosmetic). For contact wearers - you should remove your contacts and wait at least 15 minutes before re-inserting. These eyedrops are not for curing bacterial conjunctivitis - see your healthcare provider for that. My eye (mostly just my right one) has been crying and often itchy for the past few months, presumably from some sort of allergy. This stopped the tearing and itching almost instantly. They make my eye feel a little strange... sort of achy or hyperfocused perhaps, but it's much preferable to how the allergy made me feel. I live in Colorado where the air is dry and allergy season can be pretty harsh. I wake up every morning with red eyes and can't go a day without taking my zyrtec. I can't even wear contacts because of my eye allergies. I had tried other allergy drops before, but these definitely work better than anything else. There is a very slight stinging after putting the drops in, but within 5 minutes, my eyes have cleared up and I can make it the entire day without red eyes. I highly recommend these drops!
