| 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful  Improves Flash Photography . . . to an extent, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Gary Fong Delta 4 Point & Shoot Flash Diffuser for Various Digital Point & Shoot Cameras (Electronics) The Delta 4 does what it's advertised to do: improves the look of photographs when the camera's flash is used. I use a Canon 590IS and also tested the diffuser on a Canon SD1000 and on a Kodak Easyshare M863. Photographs taken with the Delta 4 look less washed out (but still washed because of the fact that you're using a tiny flash) and the colors look richer.There is 1 caveat which keeps this from being 5 stars. And that is the fact that the flash range is shortened. This should be no surprise since the drawback of diffusing light is that the light itself is scattered, thus you don't get as much light shooting forward. As long as the subject is close enough (around 5-7 feet), the photographs are exposed correctly. Any farther away and the photos will be severly underexposed. If you set the flash to manual and then to full power, you can get a bit more range, but you have to know your camera like the back of your hand to make these adjustments on the fly... Read more |
